Moving a Hole

I have done this in the course of my career as an automotive mechanic, 99.9% of the time on something that someone else has screwed up and left for me to repair. In this particular instance I had my head well up my ass and should have quit for the day before doing the original drilling operation...

Plug set

Cast iron plug machined with an interference fit.  Loctite green wicking thread locker was used to insure the plug stayed put during the milling, drilling and tapping steps.

Plug and boss faced off

Plug and boss faced off.  I needed to remove about 0.005" anyways to get the table supports not to bind, so this worked out well.

Hole re-drilled and tapped

All better.....
