Baseplate of the tower is being used as a fixture/layout plate for the topper. Pieces of 1 X 3/16" hot roll strap are being used for the bearing support. The top section (now around 4' long) is inverted on the bars and will be welded into place next. Careful alignment in the layout stage prevented any binding of the mast when it was all put together.
