Detail of the 2m/70cm outrigger. A fairly short diagonal brace was used. While strong enough to support the antenna I would use 1" square tubing if I had it to do over instead of the 3/4" used here. The lower U bolt has not been installed yet (on order from McMaster/Carr). Even with one U bolt the arm does not move.
